For this cocktail, we used New Alchemy Distilling’s Fyllengst Aquavit. Aquavit is a distilled spirit, originating in Scandinavia. After being distilled with grain or potatoes, it is flavored with spices and herbs, most commonly, caraway and/or dill seed. This one specifically is distilled with wheat and rice, for what New Alchemy calls a “uniquely west cost inspiration of this scandanavian staple.”
We love to use New Alchemy because all of their spirits are carefully distilled to be enjoyed neat, or have great flavor for mixing cocktails.
While this cocktail is great for any morning, we feel that it’s extra fitting for Easter weekend. Thanks to Liquor.com for the excellent cocktail inspiration!
