After tennis, or cricket if that’s more your thing
Cran & Tonic
I’m from New England so a Cape Codder, or cranberry vodka spritzer as you land lubbers may call it, was a mainstay in my early drinking life. Fast forward 20 years or so to my more, ahem, sophisticated palate and it felt like this classic was read to up it’s game. Enter the Cran & Tonic. With the Craneberry liqueur from a great Boston distiller it still has a nod to my roots, but it’s elevated with tonic water, a beautiful local gin, and a dash of local bitters. A welcome twist on an old mainstay…
Let’s Get Stirrin’
Fever-Tree Tonic Water
Wedge of lime and thinly sliced cranberry, if you’re feeling fancy, to garnish
Mix gin & cranberry liqueur, add ice, top with tonic water and add a dash (4-6 drops) of cranberry bitters. Garnish with lime and sliced fresh cranberry if you have them. Sip and imagine yourself on a beautiful New England beach!
…but am I going to like it?
