Inspiration
Ski Bunny Cider
How did I become a Ski Bunny? It was this alpine liqueur cocktail. Ok, not really. To be honest I’m a great ski bunny because I’m not a great skiier or snowboarder. But I love the snow and a lot of my friends love to ski so I’ve mastered the ski bunny game if I do say so myself.
Unfortunately the idea of being a ski bunny is often fraught with sickly sweet hot toddies or mulled cider or hot buttered rum. And you know, while sitting by the fire or lounging in a hot tub sometimes you just want a refreshing, crisp drink that makes you feel like you’ve been hitting the slopes all day. And this drink tastes like winter, yet is still refreshing and fun. Thanks alpine liqueur and Spanish style cider! Perfect for a ski bunny that’s been working hard on her lounging skills all day!

Let’s Get Stirrin’
Ingredients
1 mini Shots Box bottle of Townshend’s Alpine Liqueur (1.5oz)
4oz Trowbridge Cider
1 tsp simple syrup
Squeeze of lemon
Spring of rosemary
Instructions
Sugar the rim of a cocktail glass, put ice and all ingredients into glass, stir, add a sprig of rosemary and enjoy! It’s like being a ski bunny from the comfort of your couch. Cheers 🥂
If you can’t get your hands on Trowbridge Cider make sure to choose a dry, somewhat funky cider. Spanish sidra or other Spanish style ciders 🇪🇸 would be perfect. And while there are other Alpine Liqueurs on the market Townshend Distillery makes our favorite we’ve found so far! You can use the links above to buy both and get them delivered to your house. Couch ski bunny win!

…but am I going to like it?
Getting to know your palate, what you like, and what you don’t like is a critical part of being a great craft tippler AND key to becoming a great home bartender as well!
So before you break out that barware and buy the key ingredients, here’s a little guidance on what to expect from this cocktail so you can start to hone in on exactly what elements of cocktails you enjoy and which you’d prefer to minimize. This helps you order new cocktails you love when you’re out on the town better as well!
