SipScout is the first alcohol subscription service for enthusiasts of craft alcohol. As a member, you get a themed tasting or mixology kit delivered to your door each month and an invite to our SipScout party where we’ll mix, taste, and merrily wassail together.
You may have guessed, our December box is our holiday mixology kit and party! This kit will include such delights as ingredients and recipes to make the Festive Fizz, as well as two other holiday cocktails!
While the kit comes with enough for two to share, taking part in our December SipScout kit and event will give you the opportunity to try some new cocktails, learn from our resident mixologists, and decide what concoctions to mix up for your own party!
And while we’d love for you to have all the ingredients to mix and mingle along with us, remember that membership is never required to join the monthly party. Are you curious about how SipScout works? It’s simple! Choose your payment schedule – monthly, quarterly (save 5%), or semi-annually (save 10%) and order by the first of the month to receive that month’s rotating featured tipple in your first kit. If you order after the 1st, you’ll receive your first kit the following month.
Once your kit arrives, you can taste or mix at your leisure, referencing the provided resource materials, or you can opt to join our monthly virtual SipScout party, where we’ll explore each box together…sometimes including the craft makers themselves!.
Each kit comes with enough craft alcohol for two to share, and your membership can be paused as needed.

Here’s a Fun Holiday Drink that Won’t Be Featured in Our December Kit
Like you, we love craft drinks – whether it be beer, wine, spirits, or cider. So, we won’t make you wait until your subscription box arrives to share one of our favorite holiday drinks. The beauty of this cocktail is it’s a batter that you whip up and keep in your freezer all holiday season long! Then just scoop a bit out, add hot water and rum and you have yourself a cozy, festive party. Awesome for those unannounced social calls and gatherings that happen throughout the season!
Hot Buttered Rum
Ingredients:
- 1/2 lb. unsalted butter (softened)
- 1/2 qt. vanilla ice cream (softened)
- 1/2 lb. light brown sugar
- 1/2 lb. powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- Dash of ground ginger
To make the hot buttered rum mix, first, soften the butter and ice cream (and we mean really soft and melty). Then mix all ingredients together until smooth. Transfer to a container to put in the freezer until the hot buttered rum mix firms up. While it will firm up, it will always stay soft enough to scoop, which is great so you can dig in whenever the mood strikes all winter long!
Put 2 heaping TBS of the hot buttered rum mix into a mug, add 2oz of dark rum (Wright & Brown Barrel Aged Rum, and Koloa Kauai Spice Rum if you want a bit more spice are both excellent choices), and top with boiling water. Add more batter or rum to fit your taste preferences. Stir, sit back, and enjoy this festive holiday drink!
